Highlights: Named after one of Edmonton's mayors, William Hawrelak Park is one of the River Valley's most popular recreational areas. Here you will find bike trails to Laurie Park and Valley Zoo, picnic sites, a man-made lake with ducks, geese, gulls and paddleboats in the summer or a large open-air skating pond in the winter. The Heritage Amphitheatre is an open air venue for live performances such as Shakespear in the Park and Symphony Under the Sky. Major Festivals hosted in Hawrelak Park include the Bright Nights - a Family Winter Festival, Heritage Festival and International Blues Festival.
Tips: Dogs are not allowed in Hawrelak Park.
